I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Dollar General in Aug 2011
Interview
I was contacted through email to take the assessment online. I thought it was easy. I passed and was contacted the next day by the DM. He interviewed me over the phone for about an hour. He ask me a lot of questions concerning shrinkage, hiring processes, people, customers, etc... and he wanted to know how I would handle a difficult store that had a lot of theft. He told me I done awesome and said I was very charasmatic. He then said I would be contacted the next day by a different manager to interview me... five minutes later I got another phone interview that lasted another hour or so. He set me up with a walk through of the store... and it went from there! I have two job offers right now.. one is Store manager for dollar store...35,000 a year... the other is administrative assistant with a huge company paying 11 an hour with overtime. I'm trying to figure out which would be the best job. I have experience in both. Both have insurance with 401k. I'm stumped. I know the Dollar Store job is going to be a lot more hours and work... but I like the money! Hmmm.. Any suggestions?
