I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dollar General (San Angelo Junction, TX) in Apr 2013
Interview
I had an interview with the store manager. They must have really needed someone because he asked very few questions then scheduled me to go to the second store for my second interview immediately after leaving the first store. I had the second interview at the other store and he described what was needed from me. They were adamant that I work open to close on Saturday and Sunday which I wasn't okay with. They wanted me to work 50 hours a week which I wasn't looking for but if you need a ton of hours I suppose you'd like this place.

I interviewed at Dollar General (Lawrenceburg, TN)
Interview
I was interviewed over the phone and given the job on that same call. Company is fairly desperate for employees but they prefer people with experience especially previous dollar store experience.
Phone Call that lasted less than 5 minutes , and not a lot of details given. Text messages exchanged back and forth about interviews , and hearing from corporate office.

The interview process was very straightforward they asked my availability anytime that I needed off any specific days I needed off. They asked about my experience as an assistant store manager and regular team lead. They did the normal what if this scenario happened what would you do.
