I had two phone interviews before coming in for a half-day to meet with 8 people, 4 of whom were Vice Presidents. Two weeks passed after the interview before the recruiter called me to give me an update on the position. I was informed that I had been selected for the role and that given the current situation, a formal offer would be extended in 4 weeks. After 5 weeks, I reached out to the recruiter for an update and never received a response. Through a connection, I found out that the main project that I would be managing had been canceled. I understand that things have changed given the current situation but a follow-up update would have been the professional response after I took PTO and came on-site for an interview.
