      Java Back-end Developer Interview

      Oct 24, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Vienna
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Dynatrace (Vienna) in Jun 2022

      Interview

The interview was mostly professional and friendly. First stage was an online test with questions about Java and a couple of coding tasks. They are not too complicated and the time allocated for the test is more than enough. The second stage was a conversation with an engineer. We discussed both tech and behavioral questions. There were no very deep tech details, just to prove that I have solid basic knowledge. I answered all questions, the feedback from the engineer was positive. Several days after the interview HR called me. She told that I performed well but they were stopping hiring process with all Russian citizens because of some 'visa problems'. Not sure which problems exactly, because Russians are still able to get an Austrian working visa normally. This was sad, because these guys run a really interesting project.
