The interview process at EY for the Quantitative Analyst role was structured and fairly technical. It started with an HR screening focused on background and motivation, followed by technical interviews.
In the technical rounds, I was asked a range of quantitative questions, including probability, statistics, and some modeling concepts. There was also a strong focus on practical application—interviewers asked about how I would evaluate a strategy and interpret backtesting results. For example, questions covered how to assess the robustness of a model, how to deal with overfitting, and what metrics I would look at when reviewing backtest performance.
