I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Electronic Arts in Feb 2018
Interview
I applied for UX research internship position through school and was selected a 45 minutes interview. Knowing it would have technical questions, I made sure to study games UX, web development, data visualization and database as described in the job requirements. I even brought in user research work/portfolios I had worked on for my design projects. Thinking I was ready for the interview, I went in only to realize I was being interviewed by a university recruit and a senior software developer who came to interview for other software developer intern positions on the same day. I told them I have applied for user research intern position and not the software developer but they still decided to ask me C++ and C questions. (Which was not listed in job summary or responsibilities). After the interview, they told me if I make it to the second round, I would be asked UX questions by user researchers from the company. Needless to say, I didn't make it to the second round.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Electronic Arts
Interview
Could be better, very nice people overall and but interview went on for too long. Seemed to have wanted stronger programming skills. Very conversational, had nice chat with everyone but it was obvious there wasnt a strong fit.
