HR interview, then hiring manager, which went great. Then came the Korn Ferry assessment with a panel, which I've heard and read about isn't bad, but I had one lousy person that hi-jacked the process from everyone and went downhill from there. He literally spent the whole interview asking how I make change and influence people. That's all he asked in different formats for 45 min. Trying to explain how to influence people and make change for 45 minutes is pretty rough, as there's only so much one can say about the topic. But I'll tell you what; he wanted to beat that dead horse for the whole interview—definitely one of the worst, most awkward interviews of my life. This guy's role is "an influencer" for cyber, and quite frankly, I'm perplexed by that, as the only thing he influenced me to think is whether or not I'd be able to avoid him if I was offered the job. Guess, thankfully, I wasn't.
