I applied online to this position thanks to a referral. Few days after I received 3 different emails, one with a Behavioural Assessment, another with Cognitive Assessment and a final email explaining the two previous.
After doing all the assessments, I received an email to schedule the interview. I have to say that I have applied to 2 different positions at the same time and I was receiving automatic emails all the time, and I couldn't know which position the email was.
I scheduled the interview. There was 2 interviewers. They arrived some minutes late. The interview started very strange, I had a feeling that both interviewers were a unprofessional. They started talking about them, a little about where they are located, their experience and hobbies. I had to do the same later.
After a little talking they had some questions about hard cases in my experience/professional path. Then it became one of the worst interviews I ever had.
As I mentioned, I was applying for a recruiting/HR position. They asked me to answer how much is the 4.75% of 444. Of course, I couldn't use calculator or any other tool for help. Plus this, I had to explain how did I get to the number that I'd give... I'm sorry!? For sure I wasn't expecting this. I mean, will I be recruiting or playing the school? And will you be asking number questions when you had already made not 1 but 2 assessments!? A joke...
I tried the faster I could and provide a number. Wrong. Ok, but they insisted that I had to get the right number. I mean, for real!? What kind of torture is this!? I had to explain why did I provide the number, so from my explaining they started to ask more things and play around just to get the final answer. We spent some long and uncomfortable minutes on this. This was the last question from them.
The feeling that I had after this was so frustrating, I felt tired and disrespected. Terrible. Anyway, I wanted to ask some things about the company and their culture (just to confirm what I have already felt). I started with a question, then later they answered in a very quick and like a whatever way. For the second question one of them stopped me saying that they were run out of time, so I couldn't make questions (yeah, of course, if you arrived later).
2 days later I've received what I was sure that I would get from them: a rejection email. And this was not the exception. They textually said: "Unfortunately, we are unable to give more individual feedback at this stage of the process."... Hey, I've spent several time on you and you couldn't even be open to provide an accurate feedback!? Again, totally disrespectful to the candidate.
For sure, this has been one of the worst hiring process that I've been to. A terrible and disrespected interview, where one of the interviewers was through all the interview smiling so strange that I had to ask about it. I really felt it like jeering. Not funny at all.
