      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Jan 2018

      Interview

The process was very efficient and quick. The first step was to apply online and send in your resume. Next, they will email you about a phone interview (came the next day for me). The phone interview is pretty casual and is with someone that works in the role that you are applying for. Half of the interview was just them telling you about the role along with some easy conversational interview questions. Next, there is an online proctored exam that contains 4 different parts (got invited to it 2 days after I got the phone interview email). One was a programming/logic test. You don't need programming knowledge b/c they give you the rules of the language. There was also a timed math portion that was simple math questions (think SAT math). There were also two other parts, nothing was too tough. Then I received an email for a personality test about a day after I completed the online assessment. I thought this was a very strange part of the interview process, I wasn't particularly a fan of it. I can't imagine it is a big factor in the interview process. I received an invitation for an onsite interview two business days after performing the personality test. The onsite was really well done. They fly you out to Madison and put you up in a really nice hotel downtown for the night. You can also go out to dinner with a current Epic worker and some other Epic candidates. Then you have the rest of the night to yourself. In the morning you drive out to Epic. The campus is wow! Bigger and nicer than I expected. You'll have a software demonstration, go on a tour, have a Q&A with a current person in your role (very helpful), get lunch with some workers and candidates, have a case study interview, and have an HR interview. I've heard that if you make it to the onsite, you have about a 90% chance of getting the job. I think this helped me as I was more confident and relaxed throughout the day. They tell you that they'll get back to you within 2 weeks. I had my interview on a Thursday and heard back the following Tuesday. Overall, the process was very quick and I enjoyed the process. While it was involved, none of the parts of the process were very intense. Everything seemed pretty laid back like their company culture, and I was definitely drinking the Epic kool-aid after my onsite.
