I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Oct 2015
Interview
The online application was incredibly easy. A week later, I was scheduled for a phone interview and some skills assessments. The skills assessments included some logic puzzles and a no-experience-required coding assessment. When I was invited onsite for the interview, everyone was incredibly nice. The whole day of interviews included a case study as well as a technical assessment, which I failed given that I have no coding background. However, I still got the offer, so the purpose of this technical assessment was probably just to gauge where you have to start during training.

Interview
Filled out an online form at a college campus job fair, was contacted via email for a phone call, then a skills assessment, and then invited for an onsite interview
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Epic
Interview
The interview was fairly easy - asked about my education , why I wanted to work there, about myself, the usual. Was offered the technical interview a few hours after my phone interview. The technical interview was pretty difficult - a lot of math, pattern recognition, and faux code to analyze.

Interview
Applied directly at a career fair and was then asked to complete a technical exam online. The next step was a pretty informal phone screening, and then I was sent out for an in-person interview.
