I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Durham, NC) in Oct 2015
Interview
Submitted an application through my university careers site, obtained an interview. Very formatted and scripted interview; interviewer asked personality questions off a pre-made list essentially from the beginning since it was "company protocol". The interviewer was nice but somewhat reserved/uninterested, and I had to make a very conscious effort to keep the conversation going.

Question 1
What was one time you had to make do with less than adequate resources and how did you handle the situation?
Most of the questions were focused on hypothetical scenarios, also did go through resume. The interviewers are generally quite nice and will be relevant to the team that you are attached to.

Interview
The interview is quite chill. He mostly asked me to explain my cv and 1 technical questions. The interviewer is quite friendly too. Be sure to know everything you wrote at your cv
questions and answer type, question were really difficult to tailor our experience to it and all are behavioral questions. Does not ask about why you choose the company / the position at all.
