I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Jersey City, NJ) in Jan 2016
Interview
It was horrible. I was brain raped, #siliconvalley. I wrote an algorithm on whiteboard. They took photos and even grabbed my wrist so I wouldn't erase. They then closed position because I basically solved all there problems for free. And I had to schlep out to jersey city in winter for it.

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments in Oct 2021
Interview
I applied for the Senior UX position and the recruiter reached out to me saying they will hire me for the Junior position. When I asked the reason she said the hiring manager thinks that you don't have enough experience. (How can the hiring manager thinks I don't have enough experience without even talking to me?) I thought maybe I should give the interview and prove to them that I do have enough experience to consider me for the Senior role. I had a couple of rounds and the hiring manager called me personally saying I've got the job. There was no space for negotiation, The recruiter was really rude. I asked her for the job description 3 days prior to the interview and she never replied. They are hiring so many designers but they don't want to pay as per the market rate. This company lowballs you big time. At the same time, I was interviewing for another Senior role in a different team. I got selected for this Senior Role but the recruiter came back and told me that as your first offer was for a Junior role the second offer will be the same. I really don't understand this. I accepted the second role for my own reasons but I really don't trust the company and I'm not sure if I can stay with such a company for a long time that doesn't value their employee skills.
