      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (New York, NY) in Jan 2022

      Interview

I will try to give the best overview of the WPA interview process. It starts oftentimes with a hirevue self recorded questionnaire. In this you will answer 3-5 questions all of which are pretty straightforward. I was also given 2 attempts meaning I could see the initial question and re-record my answer afterwards with no time limit inbetween. So if you think you don't know the question the first time, you can research for the second. Second step is the initial interview with your recruiter. This is the person you will be communicating with the most. I wouldn't really call this an interview but more getting to know you and why you want the position. Third is a very basic test where you will answer simple math questions and verbal questions (such as matching alike words). This was much easier than I thought it would be. Many questions like "if a TV cost $800 and you put a down payment of $200, how much would the remaining 4 payments be" the remaining payments would be equivalent to 600 divided by 4. After the test you will speak with your recruiter who will go over the results. Mine claimed she couldn't see the exact score and just a pass or fail. They will ask what you thought of the test and how it went. I have a feeling this is done to guage how you do under "pressure". Given this is a licensing position just break down how you approached the questions and effectively used your time. You will then set up a quick chat with the recruiter again where they will help you out a little before your final interview with 2 hiring managers. Please not that all the previous interviews are done over the phone. The fourth and final interview happens with 2 "talent champions" over zoom. Both of mine were super nice and personable. They'll ask you some scenarios and try to see how you'd handle certain situations such as an upset customer. I definitely over studied for this part but I'd suggest studying. There are many quizlets with Fidelity interview questions

      Interview

Very corporate. Be ready for answering questions in STAR format. Also brownie points for knowing a lot about Fidelity. Obviously there are set questions the interviewer has to ask you. The more you know the better. They are very much wanting you to be 100% all in for working for fidelity.

They low balled the salary range and change it from what they offered in the original job posting. I would recommend looking elsewhere for this type of role unless you are okay with it as a starting position and are doing it for the educational aspect.
