I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Flow Traders in Nov 2015
Interview
They are very thorough in their interview process. The important things that it seemed to me like they were looking for were self-motivated, naturally smart, and quantitative-minded individuals. Having a working understanding of financial markets and what was currently happening was definitely a bonus.
Also, they definitely take into account the ability to learn from mistakes. If you're wrong they will let you know and prod you in the right direction so heed their advice. They grill you so that they can see how you handle pressure environments since that is a major aspect of the position.

Question 1
What do you think one of our trader's does on a day-to-day basis?
First was a mental maths test of roughly same level as Optiver 80 in 8. Then had a 1-1 interview with HR, did not pass as had not researched company well enough.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Flow Traders (Amsterdam)
Interview
I passed the online mental math test, then got eliminated in the second round which was an online interview with HR, where I was asked to play a market-making game in which I had no previous experience. Although it is a junior position, you are still expected to have plenty of technical knowledge.
