I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at GE Aerospace (Grand Rapids, MI) in Nov 2017
Interview
Being in the area, I was brought in for an initial interview rather than having a phone interview. The overall process was relatively quick for such a selective program. The interview process consists of an initial interview whether that be on the phone or in person, and then an intensive second interview that has both individual and group aspects. In the second interview you have to give a presentation about yourself. That is followed by several rounds of back to back 30 minute interviews that focus primarily on behavioral questions. Finally you end with a group exercise that is unlike most interviews I have experienced. Though intimidating I found all of the interviewers to be very kind, and the overall experience was very positive whether you were to make it or not. They flew in people from all over the country for interview.

Question 1
Describe a time when you had to make a decision quickly, and how you handled that?
Had a behavioral interview using an online program. It went well and primarily focused on STAR method questions. It wasn't person to person which would've been better. They also asked about personal goals and why choose the development program.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GE Aerospace (Bengaluru) in Dec 2025

The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) at GE Aerospace is a prestigious, rotational leadership program designed to accelerate your career through technical training (like the Advanced Course in Engineering) and business-critical assignments.
The interview process is rigorous, focusing heavily on leadership potential and technical fundamentals. It typically follows a multi-stage structure that can vary slightly by region (US vs. Europe/Asia), but generally adheres to the following format.
online Test + Technical interview round+ HR round

Interview
It was a half day of technical and behavioral interview questions. Technical questions were focused on previous technical and leadership experience, including problems you’ve solved and how you’ve solved them. Behavioral questions were standard, what you would find online. There was a short group interview with other candidates at the end of the process.
