I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at GEICO (Amherst, NY) in Sep 2011
Interview
I was contacted by phone after filling out a short application online. The phone interview was short and they asked why I wanted to work for them and why I think I would be a good fit. Basic questions, nothing too in depth. They scheduled me to come in for a skills test which included simulations of incoming customer calls and data entry. It was all very fast and I thought I had done well considering the circumstances. Once that had ended we were called out one by one to find out how we had done and I was told I didn't pass but could re apply in 6 months. I was surprised considering I had thought I had done well. Everyone I interacted with was very nice and not intimidating at all.
The GEICO interview process typically includes an online application, a phone screen, one or more virtual or in-person interviews focusing on behavioral and situational questions, and a final assessment or background check before an offer.
very long wait time, easy entry exam, 2 interviewers asked a bunch of questions after passing but made no efforts to assist in completing tasks - as if I was interviewing myself. Very confusing, no direction.
