I was interviewed by two managers in person. The company is going for a CMMi level 3 recertification and also they want to next get appraised for CMMi level 5. It seemed the Interviewers had no clue on CMMi level 4 and 5 process areas and also on the basic 3 models in CMMi. The reason that I am writing about my experience is that senior management andd HR should definitely consider hiring interview panels externally for such roles. After a week, I received a mail from HR that I was not selected. I was quite sure that the people who interviewed me saw me as a threat to their career and that is the reason they did not want to hire me as well.
