      Research Survey Project Manager Interview

      Mar 17, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Gallup

      Interview

I applied online and received a call to set up a phone interview within a week. Per the interviewer, questions had to be answered "concisely but succinctly." However, the interviewer pushed me to answer questions as quickly as possible, 50 questions in 30 minutes. I felt as though they rushed me through the interview without providing proper time to answer questions. Did not feel as though I was given adequate consideration as a candidate.

      Survey Research Project Manager Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gallup (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2016

      Interview

During the application you complete a behavioral quiz that is basically their Strengthsfinder 2.0 questions. I had applied for a survey research job but the quiz must have said I was better suited for a Client Services Consultant position because I received an interview date for that position. It was frustrating because the first phone interviews are with interviewers who know nothing about the position, so couldn't find out what happened to the survey position.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

I prepared based off of the behavioral questions other people put up here, a lot of them were the same, the ones about performance based compensation, etc. Would you rather have a pleasant but average worker or someone who excels but is difficult to work with. Most of them were either strengthsfider 2.0 questions.

      Question 2

I appreciate their process and what they're trying to do with the strengthsfider survey, and match people to their strengths, but I think they need a little more HR communication with applicants-- it comes off a little inhumane and one-sided to fire a bunch of questions at you and record it, but you are not able to find out more about the position or process really.

      Survey Research Project Manager Interview

      Aug 9, 2014
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gallup in Jul 2014

      Interview

I applied online through a referral. One week later I got a call to make an appointment with them for a telephone interview. It was one week between the call and the interview. The telephone interview was about 45 minutes. You can ask the interviewer to repeat the questions , he will repeat exactly what the question is , instead of any explanation. They told me if I passed the first telephone interview , I would have a second telephone interview and then a personal interview, But 3 days later , I got an Email to say there is no position matching my strengths at the moment.

As a manager, do you prefer a super good team member or two average team members. The super good team member can finish same amount work as the two average team members.
