I had a terrible experience talking to Garmin — I am based on the West Coast so used to a higher degree of interview decorum, so to say. The recruiter started with the usual "is this a good time to still talk" and proceeded to what it felt like an interrogation of the worst kind. None of the usual "let's spend our time together this way, tell me about your background, etc." I decided to ended the call after 7 mins because I feel recruiters are the gatekeepers of organizations and usually their demeanor is reflective of the culture and company. Too bad, too sad because I love Garmin and felt I could add a lot of value to their product suite.
