      Business Development/Marketing Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor

      Interview

I applied to Glassdoor through the website and got a response from the recruiting department. After a couple phone screenings with the recruiter and a manager from the Business Development department, I had an in-person interview with the VP of BD. Most of the questions were about my experience, background, and why I was interested in working at Glassdoor. The final interview was in the Sausalito office and I spoke with executives in Marketing, Product, Partner Services, and the head of HR. They mostly asked situational questions related to their interaction with Business Development.

      Interview

It's a very fast process. I applied online and received an interview offer within a handful of days. I interviewed directly with the hiring manager then came into the office for in person interviews. Most of the people I interviewed with were really terrific. Some of the higher ups have strong personalities (for ex. extremely blunt) and you have to be flexible to adjust to it, which I wasn't very good at.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Are you a people person--be honest?

      Interview

I'm not based in SF so the first interview was over the phone. I happened to be in town two weeks later so I was invited back for a face to face interview. Three interviews was arranged where I got a chance to meet some of the people I would be working with if offered the role. It was great to meet people on my team straight away as it gave me an idea of the culture. This 2nd round of interviews was also successful and as I was leaving town just two days later, the 3rd and final round of interviews was arranged for the following day. It was great that they where flexible enough to work around my schedule and could progress my interviews so quickly.
