I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2021
Interview
Applied online for the summer internship for GSAM. Did an initial screen call with a recruiter. Then did in person interviews on campus. Then was flown out for a superday in NYC where the day was divided by morning and afternoon interviews. Morning was a set of mostly behavorial and light finance. Then they send all the interviewees to lunch, they then call us during lunch to see if we made it to the afternoon. The afternoon is then teams across GSAM. I had QIS, AIMS, wealth management, I think it was people that based on your morning scores opted in to interview you. Then heard back a few days later that I had an offer.

Very technical interview that asked about equity valuations, how to calculate discounted cash flows, weighted average cost of capital, enterprise value, and what is happening in the financial markets. It was a great experience overall.
7+ rounds - with 2 different people in each round, motivational / competency questions + some market related and technical questions. varies by role but you need to really understand "Why GS"
