The role was for temporary 9 month contact. Applied through a recriter and took about one week to get the phone interview. Phone interview was about 30 minutes and I was invited for a second interview on site which I declined for another offer.

Interview
Three interviews at 30 mins each with three different people. It was fine but they were late to the call every time. Interviewers were professional and casual. My last interviewer didn't have time to answer my questions which I felt was rude and I struggled to build rapport.

Asked about programme management and project management skills and dealing with stakeholders. Also asked about why I wanted the role and times I'd gone above and beyond.

Interview
Twice I have interviewed at Google and both times the experience has been abysmal. The first time after completing a telephone interview I was invited in to their offices for 3 x 45 minutes worth of interviews with different members of their team. The interviews were fine a mixture of experience and competency questions, however the follow up was a shambles. I chased and chased the recruiter to be told the role was offered to a referral and that Google don’t offer feedback! I spent hours researching and preparing and they wouldn’t even give any constructive feedback.
The second time was a few months ago I made it to the telephone interview stage at that point the hiring manager told me he would definitely like to see me for a face to face interview. This happened on a Friday, by Monday the recruiter called me and scheduled the interview for Wednesday but by Tuesday with less than 24 hours notice the role was suddenly cancelled and I never heard from them again.
Google is firmly off my list of potential employers as they clearly don’t care enough about their candidates experience for me to ever consider them again.
