The interviews are broken into 3 different types 1. Operating systems and hardware 2. Networking 3. Googlyness and leadsership. Technical Interview Focus (OS & Hardware): This interview revolved around server components, the OSI model, RAID configurations, common Linux log file locations, and basic hardware troubleshooting (e.g., "computer doesn't turn on"). They surprisingly received few Linux and no scripting questions despite heavy preparation in those areas.
"Googley" Interview: This part focused less on technical skills and more on behavioral aspects, using "tell me about a time..." questions to assess leadership style and teamwork abilities. ChatGPT was mentioned as a helpful tool for practicing these types of questions.
Network Interview: This was described as a rapid-fire round covering general networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS) and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
