I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Grainger (Lake Forest, IL) in Nov 2010
Interview
The first interview was relatively simple, with about 60% of our university's students receiving second round interviews. The second round took place in Lake Forest, IL at the corporate headquarters. We had a tour of the office (great building and LEED certified), then four back to back 45 minute interviews. One interview included a case question where they want to see your thought process.

Question 1
Walk me through your resume, point by point. (without looking).
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Grainger in Feb 2025
Interview
Overall a good experience. Both the interviewers were nice and asked a lot about technical skills, especially powerbi, sql and python. Needs to be familiar with your resume and go into details about your work experience.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Grainger (Lake Forest, IL) in Oct 2013
Interview
The screening process started from the school's career website followed by an initial on- campus interview which was pretty straight forward. There were only questions about the resume more or less. Second interview was an on-site one consisting of 4 forty five minute interview back to back with higher level management. Again, very general questions and nothing specific to supply chain. They asked a lot about previous work experience or internships.

Question 1
All of the interviews questions were behavioral and situational. Nothing technical as I said. Only on supply Chain question - 'If you were to go in a DC, what are the first five things you would observe and why ?'
I had an initial phone interview, followed by a complete day on-site. I participated in four different interviews, with employees from different Supply Chain departments. The questions were mostly behavioral, but included an interactive, case-based question. Although I didn't take the offer, I enjoyed the process and would recommend candidates to jump at an opportunity to interview with the firm.
