"Technical phone screen": A non-tech nervously lists off technologies they're client is looking for and looks for any signal that you're familiar with them. Zero questions/exercises/conversations to gauge proficiency. ~30 minutes Onsite interview: 3 juniors openly admitted to not having an agenda and allowed me to question them about their stack, processes, culture, challenges, outlook, etc, for 1hr. They didn't ask me a single interview question. I didn't write a single line of code throughout the entire process, and never was made to provide any indication that I had the slightest bit of qualification in any capacity as a developer.
