I recently interviewed for Technical Consultant (travel) position for professional services group . The phone interview lasted 90 minutes . A long technical interview .I was asked basic to advanced java programming, j2ee, application servers, xml, SQL query, messaging , integration and hands on coding questions .I felt the company is looking for technology champions . I don't understand the reason for asking basic oo concepts , programming syntax to a senior level technical person .

Sent a 2 question coding interview. First one was easy but second one was a bit difficult. Fair questions, just the second question is very intricate. Good experience overall. Growing company and have heard great reviews from current employees.

Interview
It was my 2nd time applying for a job. The 1st one was several years ago. The difference was that this time they responded quite fast and invited me for a phone interview, which went well. The HR recruiter was going to send me an invitation with more information for the 2nd round but this was almost 2 months ago. They did not even respond after an email asking for continuation.

The questions were a lot about what I was doing at this time while the recruiter was trying to figure out if I would be a match for the job.
