I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Guidewire (UC Berkeley, CA) in Feb 2014
Interview
Applied through a career fair and had a first round interview on-campus. The first round consisted of simple questions involving knowledge of hash functions, graph traversals, and classic java syntax. These guys were so friendly, I was interviewed with two engineers at the same time. Both of them were very nice interesting people.

Question 1
Given a root directory, return all the sub files of this root directory. Note, a file can be a directory with more sub files or a data file which has no sub files.
First, there was a Codility Assessment, then was a recruiter phone Screening, and finally there was a 2 hr Technical and Behavioral Interview, with an engineer and manager. Overall the process was quick and smooth.
The second interviewer did not show up for the interview and no one communicated anything about it for the entire day, and they sent a rejection a few days later without even bothering to reschedule the interview.
Had a behavioural interview with recruiter which went smoothly and at the end she asked me to send her my availability for two potential interview dates to set up a technical interview. After I sent her my availability, I did not hear back from her and she never booked the technical interview. I received no response to my follow up.
