Great Approach. The company used a very detailed oriented interview process.
Various Psychometric assessments through the hiring and interviewing process.
It was a 3-day interview. To challenge the process the Various Case studies were presented.
Phone and in-person interviews with key managers.
A good introduction to benefits and compensation.
Written and verbal assessments.
A clear understanding of the HR hiring process.

Interview
I worked for a client and was recommended by one of their sales reps. My interview was with the hiring manager. I found him very obnoxious and didn't like him at all. By the end of the interview it was obvious that there was no way I was going to work for this guy. I've met many great people at HP over the years so I don't think it's a problem with HP, just this one guy.
