I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Halliburton (Norman, OK) in Oct 2013
Interview
I put my resume in through my school and got the 1st interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were easy. There was not really any questions about behavior or anything it was more of a conversation. I was nervous and they made me feel right at home like it was a conversation with an old friend. Easy and nothing to worry about.
I applied on line and got interview invitation within 2 days. during the interview, all technical questions. No behavior questions. Foundamental knowledge is highly emphasised. So be prepared for these questions.
As a fresh graduate, they might ask you on a design project you have done, and or other work experience that might have involved design projects. This would help if you are applying for the mech engineer associate role.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Halliburton in Apr 2023
Interview
Initial virtual interview went well with direct hiring manager and leads- very casual and laid back. Got set up for an in person a couple weeks after with broader team. There was one guy who went on a power trip to finish my sentences and assume why I was switching career paths and challenging everything I was saying in a rather impolite way. Everybody else seemed okay but very quiet and not too friendly - just extra bodies in the room I suppose. I also would like to mention the lack of diversity and lack of overall workplace spirit I saw throughout.
Reached out for some clarity on next steps/timeline and got no response until an automated email a couple weeks after saying I wasn’t chosen for the position. Overall very stark contrast when compared to other companies in similar industries even when not receiving an offer.
