I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hays (Dubai) in Jan 2017
Interview
I was first called to check whether I was available for an in-person interview the same week. The interview was extremely short, 25 mins at most, and about two weeks after I was let through to the third round which was the assessment centre. It lasted the whole day, with a short presentation each person does individually and after a mock debate about ranking CVs. I was not asked for the fourth and final round, which was another interview with senior people.
I applied online. I interviewed at Hays (London, England)
Interview
First Apply with my CV
Then you get a telephone Interview which is quite informal and relaxed
If they like you, then you get invited for an Assessment Centre (full day)
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hays in Mar 2022
Interview
Initial interview, very simple over the phone, just be bubbly and yourself. Second interview also very chill, got immediate feedback and put straight through to the assessment centre. Make sure you know your CV inside out and you will be fine! Also know what recruitment is and who Hays is. Haven't done the assessment centre yet.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Where do you see yourself and your career in a few years time? (i.e. what do you want out of a role with us?)
It was a phone interview. The interviewer has a hard time understanding American accent. She questioned me for saying things that are different from my resume, which was not true. She said I was unprepared for the interview. She asked me questions about which city I would like to work in, Beijing or Shanghai. But I applied for a position in Hong Kong. The interviewer needs to read the job application before having an interview, instead of telling the interviewee to prepare more.
