I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hootsuite (Vancouver, BC) in Feb 2019
Interview
Very professional. Not a lot that I can fault on this one. Would have appreciated being notified by email right away that I was unsuccessful instead of scheduling a call, making me wait, missing the call then emailing me instead. I had 3 phone screens. One with HR recruiter, one with a technical recruiter and one with a software developer. Then 3 hr in-person with 6 different people. Liked that they were open to providing me feedback on my interview way after they had filled the position. One of the few companies that were willing to. Thanks guys!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Algorithm design, system design and behavioural interview questions
I have 1 recruiter call where they ask some predictable questions like tell me about yourself, what did you do in the last company, and then one coding interview where the interviewee will develop some features on a React app (for front-end) or api development (for back end).
The interview process had a few steps, Very nice people. Everything was clear, First interview was to know my values better, and the next one was about technical skills. I had time to ask questions.
