I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot in Nov 2020
Interview
Hubspot has been a dream company to work for, the support team seems to constantly hiring so I applied via an internal referral. Subsequently, heard back from the recruiter within the next day. The recruitment team moves very quickly, and had been very supportive throughout the whole process.
First round was an introductory call, which took about 30 minutes. Towards the end of it there was time to ask questions and understand the next steps for the role.
The next round were 2 back to back sessions (Product Demo and Role Play) which took about 2 hours in total. There was a prompt on what to expect, sent prior to the call, do expect a random curveball during the sessions itself as they assess how you'd face a last minute challenge (like with any real customer/person call).
I did not proceed to the next round, which would have been 2 other calls with the leadership team for customer support. I have gotten very well needed feedback (was also sent feedback via email as a post-interview follow up) and learnt so much from the managers during the calls itself, I got a glimpse Hubspot's culture code in motion as well as why it's received accreditation by Great Place to Work. I look forward to applying again and hopefully joining the next time I do.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review - while it wasn't the outcome you hoped for, I'm glad that our team gave you timely, helpful feedback, and that you walked away feeling like you learned something from our process. Best of luck in your job search, and I hope our paths cross with yours in the future!
Best,
Becky

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you had conflict with a coworker or colleague, and how did you overcome it?
It is a 5 step interview process, with the 1st one being a phone screening, then a video call/interactive assignment, and then finally three 30 minute back to back interviews for the 3rd and final round.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot in Apr 2026
