      Self-Serve Warehouse Co-Worker Interview

      Sep 10, 2012
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Bloomington, MN
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Bloomington, MN) in Jun 2010

      Interview

Interview was conducted by two department managers, one who would be my direct manager and another from a related department. The interview consisted of approximately 60 minutes of questions and answers. There seemed to be a focus on problem-solving, both conceptually and in past employment. Interviewers took turns asking questions, each taking the time to write while the other was talking. It was clear from the content of the interview that the company is very interested in finding people who fit the Ikea "culture". While this seems to have a positive effect on the overall quality of the work they perform, it seems as though it might be easy for a potential employee to be too-quickly cast as a bad fit.
