    PHP Web Developer Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Pune (India)
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at IKODI (Pune (India)) in September 2010.

    Interview

The interview process was pretty much straight forward and completely technical. It was a conference call with two stakeholders of the start-up company. They asked me in and out of the PHP open source and my experience on different frameworks. I think they liked my earlier work as they verified it in the interview and at the same time trying out the websites I worked on. They were happy and the second day they offered me a good position and package.

    Interview Questions

    • The question was some thing like the solution to their current problem. They asked me a solution for combining the features of one open source product in to another and how to host and access it from open vpn dipository. It was a combination of technical and architectural question.   1 Answer

    Negotiation

I didn't need to negotiate anything as my expectations were low compared to the offer they made.
