As someone who recently went through the interview process at Ignition IT, I have to say it was a disappointing and unreasonable experience. The company demands a lot from candidates, including a lengthy form that requires you to attach a "love letter" introducing yourself and your favorite joke. This was just the beginning of a series of unnecessary and bizarre requirements. One of the most awkward demands was to record a 2-3 minute video introducing yourself and providing the URL to the video. It felt uncomfortable and unnecessary to have to go through all that trouble just to be considered for the role. It's not even clear how this added value to the hiring process. Another unreasonable demand was to draw a picture (by hand or on a computer) that explains how your computer finds the IP address for www.plannedparenthood.org. This was a technical task that required a lot of effort and time, and it wasn't even related to the position I was applying for. To make matters worse, despite going through all these hoops, the company ghosted me after the interview process was completed. It's disheartening to invest so much time and effort into the application process only to be ignored in the end. Overall, the interview process at Ignition IT was a frustrating and unreasonable experience. All for a salary of just 65k, where they want you to do the work of someone making twice as much. It's not a very nice way to treat candidates, and I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a respectful and professional interview process.
