I was contacted by a recruiter from the company via email after applying for the job on their careers page. I replied in the morning the next business day but did not receive a reply until I followed up about 4 days later. At that point they arranged a call with a manager in engineering for the same day, which was nice. The call itself was pretty casual, just talked about my experience in Android, with using the Imgur API, and other similar services. I was also asked a few "what if" scenarios related to Android development, though they were related to features of the SDK which I had never previously worked with, so I was not able to give very confident answers. The day after the call I sent a follow-up email to the recruiter to which I received no response, just an automated rejection email at the end of the week. I really would have liked to know more about why I was not selected to go to the next round, considering my exigence for the role and interest in/knowledge of related technologies. Perhaps they thought I was too much of a reddit fanboy, as another reviewer suggested. Oh well.
