      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Indeed (Austin, TX) in Jul 2016

      Interview

Applied on Indeed's website for the Inside Sales (Account Executive) position, messaged a recruiter on LinkedIn, and had a quick call with that same recruiter, Eric, a few hours later. I was so shocked and impressed that Eric could talk to me so quickly and tell me more about the position. That same day, Eric (so awesome) connected me with the Sales Recruiter, Joel Torres. I spoke to Joel the next day and he quickly moved me to the next process, meeting with 3 Sales Directors and for 30 min each in the Downtown Austin location. Joel was always kept my timeline in mind and went above and beyond to schedule me quickly and the 3 Directors were tough, but I learned a lot from the experience. I received 2 out of 3 "Yes" and was moved to a Mock Cold Call with a Senior Sales Director. The call lasted a little less than 10 minutes and overall 30 minutes after the Sales Director's feedback (total of 4 people gave feedback!). I'd never done something like that before and it was tough, but the feedback helped me learn so much more about myself and how I could improve. Just as he had in our first phone conversation, Joel remained so helpful and went the extra mile to keep me updated and calm. I have never met a recruiter like Joel and Eric, which spoke volumes about Indeed. Everyone I met was so kind and looked out for my best interest, and I really would've loved to work at Indeed. I decided to turn down the offer for now because the sales team is moving to a new location and looking for hires in September. If I could afford to wait, I would've loved to join the Indeed team!

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Indeed (Singapore) in Feb 2026

      Interview

The recruiter was based in Bangalore, India. At the start of the interview, he read through the job scope directly from his screen. He spoke very fast with a strong accent, which made it difficult for me to fully understand. After reviewing the role, he asked questions related to the sales process, motivation, strengths, sales targets, handling difficult customers, availability, and salary expectations. I asked for clarification more than once and answered the questions based on my understanding. The interview felt very transactional, with limited interaction beyond the scripted questions. Just some feedback, I feel I would have been able to respond more effectively if the questions were shorter and more direct. Some of the questions were quite lengthy. I have no issue with different accents, but speaking slower and clearer pace of speech would have improved comprehension.

I applied online. I interviewed at Indeed (New York, NY) in Dec 2025

      Interview

Fast paced but thorough. Was able to finish the process within 3-4 weeks. Fully remote and interviewed with several directors. The process felt personable and the directors took time to make sure that it was a good fit for me as well.

      Interview

Just a phone screen. It was clear the recruiter didn't fully read/misread my resume when she got on the call as I could hear her having her "oh oops" moment. Haven't heard since. At least she was candid that they don't promise any feedback or communication as a policy.
