I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Santa Clara, CA) in Jan 2011
Interview
Recruited from college - two interviews at school, then invited to on-site weekend. Weekend included dinner with other recruits and some managers, 4 45-minute interviews, and lunch with a current analyst to discuss culture and area.
Process took a couple of months, but I was still in school. If you apply with experience, it probably wouldn't take as long.

Interview
Very standard asked me a set of 8-10 questions both technical and behavioral. However some of the interviewees did not seem to be all that interested in the process and made me concerned on how the actual work and culture might be.
