Very easy and straightforward interview process. Applied in store with my application (no resume) needed. Followed up a week later and was able to schedule in person interview. One and done
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at J. Crew (New York, NY) in Nov 2010
Interview
I saw an ad calling for seasonal sales associates at JCrew in New York City. I went to an open call in their Columbus Circle location, bringing my resume with me. I was told to fill out an application in the upstairs waiting area (also known as the shoe section) and waited to meet with the busy store manager. She asked me a few simple questions and scheduled me to meet with the HR manager 2 days later.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at J. Crew (New York, NY) in Oct 2016
Interview
Interview was conducted by the manager who was very friendly and bubbly in the back of the store. Asked to tell her about myself and why I would be a good fit. Asked for my availability especially for black Friday, Christmas ve and Christmas day as well as New year's eve and New year's day. Was professional and casual at the same time. Very relaxed and felt more like a conversation than an interview.

Interview
Overall it was an easy process. The interview lasted about 30 min and it was mostly conversational with a few typical interview questions. The interview took place in the mall hallway, but was a quiet cozy corner so it never felt uncomfortable.
