I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Hyderābād)
Interview
I was interviewed at J.P. Morgan. First interview was comparatively easy, all basics of SQL and spark was asked . The few questions are
1.spark architecture , 2. difference between bucketing and partitioning
and few easy SQLs
the second interview was mostly SQL
I was given 5-6 tough SQLs from recursion, window function to solve in half an hour and I gave answer to most of the questions . But the interviewer was very grumpy, he was taking calls in between , not listening and discussing much with me just asked me to share my screen and I was just writing my queries while sharing .
At last they did not notify me for many days about my candidature , I followed up with them at came to know that I was not selected.
Thats fine, but I think it was sometimes pre - decided about whom to select internally . Other wise I do not see any reason .
Sad that such a big organisation do such gambling .

I applied online. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Chicago, IL) in May 2022
Interview
Very straightforward. Two interviews with two VPs. One very technical in nature and walked thru some simple coding questions while the interviewer shared their screen. Next one was more abstract data engineering questions. Behavioral questions were sprinkled in throughout both.
Team moved very quickly and always very responsive. Very positive experience overall
