      G&A Interview

      Oct 25, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Jabil

      Interview

Worst interview process ever! First I was considered for 2 roles and set up to interview in-person with both sets of people on the same day after passing both initial hiring manager interviews. Two hours before the interview the recruiter emailed to notify me the people for one of the roles needs to reschedule and your now 3 hour interview will only be a one hour panel interview. Only one of the interviewers showed up (great conversation) and then the most sr person shows up finally 5 minutes before the interview is over and says well I’m busy and you can wait 2 more hours until I’m available. So they find another person to interview me to pass some of the time (their peer and the convo went well), and when the sr guy was finally ready, we started chatting for a couple minutes before he accepted a phone call in front of me for 5 minutes, then him and I went back to talking and less than 5 minutes later he gets another call and walks out of the room for 20 minutes, I wanted to leave at this point but thought it was rude of me and I should have left if I had known what would happen next. When he finally came back in the room we started to chat and I kid you not 2 minutes later another sr guy walks into the room. Doesn’t knock just walks right in and says I’m hungry for lunch let’s go now! And leaves the door open and walks out. So this guy I’ve waited 2.5 hours for, talked to for a total of 10 minutes then asks as he’s packing his bags if I have any questions for him? Haaa I was like nope I’m outta here! He even made sexist remarks about his peer and me interviewing with her and clearly by his lack of respect to my time, he is not someone I would want to work with. But I still had a phone interview scheduled with another sr person out of state. That convo went great and she even mentioned I was hired and couldn’t wait for me to start and started planning trips for us to go on together. So I’m thinking, well if I can work with her more this may not be so bad. Well then the recruiter nor the hiring manager ever followed up to find out how the interview experience went. Except for the recruiter to finally tell me 2 weeks later I am still being considered for the one role but they decided to close the other role. A month later I saw they posted the other job again and the one I did interview for was still open. I was warned by previous employees in this department not to even waste my time with Jabil and I see why now. I’ve never been so disrespected in an interview process nor did no one care to follow up on why I wasn’t interested in them. This is not the culture or heathy respectful environment I would want to be apart of.

      Question 1

My problem point is keeping employees, what would you do to keep them?
