I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Jefferies (Charlotte, NC) in Feb 2025
Interview
Phone screening with a school alumni (30-40 minutes), mostly talking about macro concepts in the group that I was interviewing for. Invited to a superday in person. Six rounds of interviews - mostly behavioral with some technicals sprinkled in, nothing too difficult, minimal math.

Question 1
What is the difference between accounts receivable and accounts payable?
Smooth, kind, technical
People interviewing me were generally kind, wanted to really know who I am and at the same time wanted to know if I was really interested in equity
Process was organized. The conversation was fast-paced but conversational, reflecting the culture of Sales & Trading.
Interviewer focused on market knowledge, behavioral questions, and a little technical understanding of equities and macro trends. They were clearly assessing both technical competence and personality fit, especially comfort with high-pressure environments and strong communication skills.
Overall, the experience felt competitive but fair
