I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at JetBlue (New York, NY) in Aug 2016

      Interview

Hey you guys! So I just got the call yesterday for the job offer at JetBlue and thought I'd give a little insight on the process for those currently applying or thinking about it. The application opened up on July 1st. On July 8th I received an invitation to fill out the questionnaire. The questionnaire is a simply agree/disagree format of questions. After submitting the questionnaire I received an email regarding the video interview on July 11th.They ask you 4 questions but you don't know them until they are on the screen. You have 5 seconds to read the questions and then the video starts. You have about 2 minutes to answer the questions. Also keep in mind you are being recorded the WHOLE TIME!!! So just because there is a pause button you are still on camera. Just stay relaxed and smile a lot!! After submitting the video interview, I was emailed again on July 22nd for an invite to the face to face interview. I drove to NY to the JetBlue LIC. I stayed in a hotel down the street the night before just so I know I was guaranteed to get their on time and it gave me time to calm myself down before. The day of the interview was August 4th. The interview started at 8:30 AM and I got there around 7:45 AM to be safe. I was not the only one to do this so I recommend it, it gives you some time to fill out some forms or get fingerprinted. There was about 50 people at the interview and everyone is super friendly so do not be nervous!! Most important thing is be yourself and be energetic!! Introduced yourself to everyone you meet and be talkative. The crew members and supervisors are watching you and how you hold yourself the minute you walk into the door so don't slip up at all. First thing I did was fill out a simple form giving them my information so if I was to get invited to JBU (JetBlue University) they would know where to fly me out from. During this time make sure you're mingling with everyone, not only because they are watching you but it really does calm down the nerves that you and everyone else there has so keep that in mind. Once everyone arrived, we all moved to a different room. During this time all the crewmembers introduced themselves and gave a little info. Then we went through a quick little video and listened to a supervisor speak about how the day would go. After this we were split off into groups of 6 or 7 to conduct a group activity. While doing this make sure you participate, don't try and be the leader but don't not say anything. At this time, recruiters are walking around listening to you and writing down some things. It's based on a point system I believe so try to impress them and be sociable. After the group activity, we returned back to our normal seats, had a quick bathroom break and then went back to the room. We then were shown a quick slideshow about the company and what to expect if we were hired. After the slideshow, we had another break and then began interviews, debriefings, fingerprinting if you had not already done so, a PA test, and a reach requirement. So I did the debriefing first. Basically it is like any normal interview but you are speaking to someone in a suit aka a supervisor or recruitment. They ask you 3 questions. Very simple, just keep your calm and speak to them like you would anyone else. After the debriefing, I headed over to my interview. Basically the same type of questions as the video interview. Try to answer them as thoroughly as possible, giving a problem, and action and the outcome. It's not based on whether the outcome was good or bad but they just want to know how you'd handle these situations. So after the interview, you finish fingerprinting, the PA test and the reach requirement. After the interviews I received a phone call the very next day, August 5th, offering me a position with the company. Read up on glassdoor, have answers prepared, ask questions if confused. They are there to help you and want you to succeed!!! Good luck to all, you will do great (:

Amazing interview. Positive vibes. Hiring crew inspiring. Advice? Dress like you currently work for them all the way from hair to shoes. Be early. Do not take photos. Put your phones away unless they say you can bring them out.
