Interview
The interview process itself was pleasant and straightforward. The questions were relevant, and the interviewer made me feel comfortable throughout the conversation.
My main concern was the communication around timelines. I was told on a Monday that I would definitely receive an update by the end of that week, whether the outcome was positive or negative. Friday came and went with no communication. I followed up the following Monday and received a response four days later saying that a decision had still not been made. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgement of the missed deadline or apology for the delay.
A further week passed before I finally received a rejection email. The lack of communication and the failure to meet the timeline that had been explicitly provided made the process unnecessarily stressful. While I understand that hiring decisions can take longer than expected, setting clear expectations and then not following through on them can create a great deal of uncertainty for candidates.

Interview
Slow and cumbersome process taking about a month with no contact for weeks. The interview itself went fine but the feedback I was given was non-existent, recruiter was clueless and reading an email to me. Asked for a friendly follow up but nothing. Very disappointing experience and a good insight into how life would be there

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Jisc in May 2025
Interview
I applied through the official website.I had an interview over teams with the hiring manager and the team they were a bit unprepared and one of the team member was late for the interview and someone else had to jump in so it threw me a bit of and added to the usual an before an interview but passed though that the interview was easy and casual more friendly.
I didn’t really liked the fact that the hiring manager barely looked at me through almost and hour interview. They said that they will take a decision by the end of the week and will let me know. That didn’t happen so I had to wait 2 weeks, reach out to them to see if there is any update only so they can get back to me with an automated email that they had taken the decision to proceed with someone else.
