I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at KPMG (New York, NY) in May 2008
Interview
There were long lag times between successive stages of the interview process (i.e., initial phone conversation with recruiting manager, submitting resume to recruiting manager, 2nd phone conversation with recruiting manager, trip to New York for 3 in-persons interviews in a day, offer letter), but the people were very friendly and down to earth. They seemed to be extremely sharp and hard working but still to have some balance and perspective about it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There was a business case asking about how one would figure out the number of taxis in New York City. This was apparently based on an actual project the interviewer had worked on recently.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at KPMG (Singapore)
Interview
After submitting my CV, there was a virtual interview and they asked a market sizing question + why I wanted to join the specific department. They also asked about stuff in my CV and it was overall pretty manageable, they don't expect you to know much as an intern.
My interview process went smoothly and required little to no preparation. The questions were all general in nature and were just an overview of my resume. Very low stress interview process.
It was an hour long with 2 hiring manager and HR. Whole process was like one round to offer. This spanned around 2 weeks in total from HR reach out to offer letter.
