I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at KPMG in Mar 2010
Interview
The KPMG recruiters came to my school and were very friendly. Most of them were graduates from my college. The firm held an event at a local hotel for all of the applicants offered interviews, which included a lot of food, games, and networking. The next morning one of the Senior Managers interviewed me and I felt a little bit put-off by her attitude. She asked me about myself, but focused on behavioral questions and allowed a few minutes for questions afterward. After the interview I sent a nice follow-up, but never got a response. It took more than two weeks to receive an e-mail confirming that they were no longer interested.
Normal apt test before this interview, then hr will send email to confirm the face to face interview. It is an 1 hour group discussion on a case, then present to interviewer for 10 minutes. After that, an one on one interview with manager will be conducted.
Pretty easy. Standard competency questions like tell me about a time ypu showed leadership. Got it through university placement program. Lady was really nice was more like a conversation which made everything very comfortable.
It tests your patience mainly, in addition to the accounting and finance knowledge. Best to get prepared by reading some F3 and F7 papers. Wear professional, be there at least 10 minutes early. Talk smoothly
