I applied online. I interviewed at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Mar 2017
Interview
I had a meeting with the hotel AGM and then the GM. I received a property tour the same day. I had a follow-up interview with the area P&C (HR) Director about a week later.

I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants (Los Angeles, CA) in Jun 2018
Interview
4 rounds: agm phone call, in person with the agm, in person with the area gm and phone call with HR. The position is as expected, nothing unusual for most hotels, it would have been much less work than my previous position. Very reasonable and manageable. With in 3 days, I drove 110 miles each way for both face to face interviews (440 miles total, 17 hours, in traffic total) The agm and I got a long well. Interview was around an hour. He mentioned the area gm was a huge craft beer fan, and recommended if I had a bottle to 'wow' the area gm, I should bring it. I brought a difficult bottle to find to the second interview, no clue if he enjoy The gesture or not. The area gm was very nice, we also chatted for about an hour and was told I'd receive a call from HR tomorrow for a final interview. HR missed the call time, and did not call that day. The following day HR emailed me askimg to chat in the afternoon. Right before my HR interview, the agm called to say I beat out 30 other applicants, but there was one person they thought was a better fit. However, he offered a 8p-430a Night Supervisor position, for $25k less than my salary expectations (and the lowest offer I've recieved in my career). It was not a livable wage, and I had to decline. The agm said if it didnt work out with the other candidate, I'll be his first call. HR called me right after and it was a generic interview, very quick, no follow up questions. I do want to work for kimpton, however it should be in a capacity where everyone wins. It was an entertaining experience and it has not deferred me from applying. It makes a good story.

Question 1
They agm and area gm were very concerned if I knew how to schedule team members and balance a budget/order supplies. According to them, the past FOM did a poor job.
