I had a positive 5-star experience interviewing with Kollabio's team and CEO.
The CEO, Ashok was very approachable, easy to speak to, and answered all my questions about working at the company. He described my role, the company's design process, and what kind of projects I would be working on.
When I inquired about the details of those projects, he and the team were willing to share them and even asked for my initial feedback. This left me with a feeling of transparency, trustworthiness, and a clear understanding of what the culture and my own expectations were.
He also shared areas of the company that I could help improve, which got me excited because I have been wanting to take on some of those areas for the past couple of years.
I appreciated hearing that the company performs reviews and feedback sessions on a regular basis in order to set expectations and avoid misalignment. This was missing at my previous employments, so this alone was a big confidence booster in why I knew this was the right place to work. Frequent communication, feedback, and clear expectations are the key to success.
During my most recent interviews, other employers just told me what I could do for them, but didn't go into what they could do for me, so I felt human and genuine trust. For that alone, I felt eager to contribute in order to help the company's goals and mission.
The best part was not having to go through hours and hours of phone interviews and design sprint exercises to prove my skillsets. Ashok could see my talent just by having a few conversations with me. I thank him for that.
