I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at LA Fitness (Los Angeles, CA) in Dec 2013
Interview
I submitted my application online and the next morning I received a call from the manager asking me to come in for an interview. I went in and was asked about 5 questions and after a short conversation I was hired on the spot. I was surprised because although I felt more than capable to do the job, I wasn't given any info on what the pay was, hours, or other general info before I was already told I was hired. The interview was easy and comfortable with only general interview questions asked. "What do you feel are your strengths", "Tell me about yourself", "What do you feel you could contribute to our company" etc. After being hired I was told to go home and log onto the website to fill out new hire paperwork, which you are compensated for the time required to do this, then I began training the following week.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"What would you say are two strengths and two weaknesses about yourself"
It starter with very simple questions about myself and my time availability. Then went on to why i wanted to work for the company. Then asked about if im comfortable answering calls, interacting with members and doing saftey checks.
Super easy. Straight forward. Simple questions. I think it is a great place to start off as a trainer or just a front desk associate to see how the gym operates.
