I interviewed at LA Fitness

Interview

It was a pretty quick process and the overall vibe was chill. Not like your typical stressful kind of job interview which was a surprise. I think that they are just looking for people that are passionate about the fitness industry to make sure their clients are getting the best service possible at each of the LA Fitness gyms.

Interview Questions
  • Am I interested in the fitness industry? How do I see myself fitting in here? What do I bring to the table that would be beneficial?

Very positive and typical interview process. They ask you questions, you respond, you get to ask questions. It was a smooth process and I was notified within reasonable time if I got selected.

Florida: I’m new to personal injury, but have some basic knowledge. I just got a case for someone who got hurt at LA fitness on a row/rear deltoid machine. When he pulled back cable snapped, went flying backwards off the machine, and landed on his neck. Huge bump on head. Happened couple days ago. Still assessing injuries. Currently:prob just soft tissue neck/back injury. Any thoughts on this type of case/Def or advice? Is this type more difficult to settle pre-lit? Prob not worth litigating

I applied online. I interviewed at LA Fitness

Interview

After answering typical interview questions, an audition was required. While auditions are standard, this is the only interview where I’ve been instructed to “teach a 20 minute class” to no one. The director sat in the back of the room with a clip board while I played my music, taught my sequence, and offered cues to imaginary attendees. It was actually fun and great preparation, but something to be prepared for going in. As a new instructor at the time, I found the clipboard and lack of participation intimidating.

Interview Questions
  • Be prepared to answer questions about your training background, yoga approach, and playlist. They asked for music without words, but never followed up on that requirement once I had my own classes.

Tell you what you want to hear with false promises. They don’t tell you about the high turnover rate. They ask how good you are with people and where do you see yourself working there
